Attend UBC’s virtual Remembrance Day ceremony

UBC is hosting a virtual ceremony for Remembrance Day Since the opening of the War Memorial Gym in 1951, UBC has held a ceremony commemorating November 11. 2020 marks the 69th year that UBC has hosted a Remembrance Day ceremony. This year, due to COVID-19, the Remembrance Day ceremony will be a virtual event, featuring a live broadcast from War Memorial Gym, with short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by the UBC’s School of Music.

Vote in the Staff Pension Plan Election

Elect two Staff Pension Plan members to serve on the Board from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024.  Vote online or by paper ballot by November 23, 2020. The Vice-President Research and Innovation Office relies on faculty research advisors to provide strategic guidance, advice and leadership regarding research funding. Each advisor holds primary responsibility for a funding domain corresponding to a federal granting agency:

UBC remains deeply committed to tackling issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in our core academic mission and to identifying and addressing gaps in supporting racialized students, faculty and staff to succeed.  An inclusive university is one which actively confronts and overcomes systemic barriers faced by different groups and enables everyone to realize their full potential. With this in mind, I want to provide our community members with an update on some steps that have been taken to address these important issues.
