UBC is hosting a virtual ceremony for Remembrance Day Since the opening of the War Memorial Gym in 1951, UBC has held a ceremony commemorating November 11. 2020 marks the 69th year that UBC has hosted a Remembrance Day ceremony. This year, due to COVID-19, the Remembrance Day ceremony will be a virtual event, featuring a live broadcast from War Memorial Gym, with short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by the UBC’s School of Music.

Vote in the Staff Pension Plan Election
Elect two Staff Pension Plan members to serve on the Board from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024. Vote online or by paper ballot by November 23, 2020. Members with a Campus-Wide Login (CWL) username and password can vote online through the WebVote system. Those who do not have a CWL are asked to submit a paper ballot. Learn more

With this in mind, I want to provide our community members with an update on some steps that have been taken to address these important issues.
